What is Data SGP?
Data sgp is not something you can just grab off the Internet, however. You need to actually know what it is and how to use it. Basically, data sgp is an anonymized panel data set. It contains a number of different variables that are used for calculating statistics.
For starters, there is the sgpData table. This table contains five columns of assessment scores for different years. It also includes a column containing the missing value (NA) for any missing data. Aside from the scale score, the sgpData table also contains a number of other informational items. Specifically, it contains a unique student identifier and a numeric score associated with an assessment occurrence.
The sgpData table is accompanied by an informative introductory documentation that is designed to help you understand what it is all about. In particular, you will learn about the WIDE data format. These data types represent longitudinal student assessment data. However, most analyses are better suited to the LONG data type, which spreads time dependent data across multiple rows.
In fact, you can perform a wide range of SGP analyses using lower level functions. There are, of course, more complicated ways to do the same thing. While you are at it, make sure to check out the updatedSGP function. As well as simplifying the source code, this function wraps six steps into one. Using it can save you time and effort, and ensure that you are using the best possible sgpData.
One of the most important facts about the sgpData is that it is a model of the format for lower level functions. That is, the sgpData is designed to model the actual format of the data for those functions, not to be transcluded directly. Also, the sgpData is the most accurate and most comprehensive panel data set on the Internet. And, if that is not enough, you’ll also find a number of exemplar longitudinal data sets in the package.
Of course, you can also use the sgpData to conduct a variety of other tests. You’ll need to provide the sgpData table with the required information. This includes a unique student identifier and the grade level/time associated with each assessment occurrence. Additionally, you’ll need to supply a scale score and a numeric score.
To put all of this into a single function call, you can use the abcSGP function. It is a six step wrapper around the sgpData table. If you haven’t done so already, you should purge your cache after making any changes to your sgpData. Getting the sgpData from your sgpData table will be the first step in learning more about the sgpData, which can be used in future SGP analyses.
